Happy Stampers November Blog Hop and Blog Candy!

Welcome to the Happy Stampers November Blog Hop.  This month's theme is the Holidays.  Be sure to visit all the hoppers today and leave comments for a chance to win some Blog Candy!
My first project for you today is this little deer!

You may remember seeing him yesterday.  Again he was colored with the Crumb Cake Blendabilities.  I created a little scene for him in a 2 1/2 inch circle punch of Whisper White.  The Circle Framelits created the Pool Party border layer.  He's nestled in amongst some trees from the White Christmas set and standing in snow made from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.  The Banner Framelit die cut is also out of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.  All the stars you see are out of Silver Glimmer paper and are from punches.  The tiny little stars over the deer are from the Confetti Stars punch.   Base card is Soft Sky with a layer from the All is Calm dsp.  Greeting is from the Good Greetings Hostess set.  My next project is the card below:
Based on the weather here this week it definitely is the season. It was 18 outside this morning!
I love all the stars Stampin Up has given us to play with this season!  I used the Star Framelits for all the stars.  I've used the Bright and Beautiful set and the Many Merry Stars (in the Holiday Supplement) for the Greeting at the top.The little snowflakes above the stars (or they could also be stars) are from Holiday Home set.

If you'd like to win a package of Stampin Up's New Silver Glimmer Paper leave me a comment on my blog and I will choose a random winner to be announced on Saturday morning.  Please understand that although anyone can leave a comment I can only ship to address' in the USA.

Wondrous Wreath for Thanksgiving

This card uses both the Wondrous Wreath Bundle and the Fall Fest Bundle - stamps and framlits.  My friend Martha and I made this card at our last get together this past week.  In addition we used a piece of dsp from Motley Monsters and a piece of dsp from the All Abloom Paper stack, the acorn from the Autumn Accents Bigz die, linen thread and fringe scissors. We stamped the pumpkins in Pumpkin Pie onto Pumpkin Pie cs. A Stylus was used to give the falling leaves some texture.  We used the baby wipe technique to color the wreath.

Other Supplies:
CS - Wild Wasabe, Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie -  leaves in garden green, cajun ccraze, old olive, mossy meadow
Reinkers - Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry
Wood Grain Embossing Folder

More White Christmas

Here's another card using one of my favorite sets White Christmas.  I showed you a 4 panel screen on Saturday with 4 different scenes from this set.  Scroll down a bit to see that card.  The card above  uses the Filigree Frame embossing folder from the Holiday Catalog to frame the scene.  The scene itself and also the snowman was stamped with VersaMark embossing ink and embossed with silver embossing powder.  The snowman and the birds were fussy cut and adhered with glue dots. The sky was sponged with  Soft Sky and Pool Party ink.

Thanks for stopping in today.

White Christmas Screen Card

White Christmas from the 2014 Holiday Catalog is one of my favorite holiday sets this year.  There are so many scenes you can make - I love that!  I found the instructions for making the screen at Do Stamping With Dawn.  I knew immediately I wanted to make my scene with White Christmas.  The top part of the screen is punched with the new Confetti Stars Punch.  I put a strip of Silver foil paper behind the punched stars.  And I also used some of the punched stars on the scenes.  Here are some more photos of each panel:

It's a fun card to make.  Give it a try!

Today was a fun stamping day with my two stampin' buddies, Nancy and Martha!  Here we are in the next photo getting ready to play.

L-R Nancy, Me, Martha -  Thanks for a great day ladies!

Happy Stampers Holiday Catalog 2014 Blog Hop...and Blog Candy too!

The Holiday Catalog goes live today!  So hop along with the Happy Stampers Holiday Catalog Blog Hop.  There is sure to be lots of Holiday inspiration.  I've chosen a Thanksgiving theme for my first card today.  The first one above was my first use of Washi Tape.  I wonder why it took me so long.  It was just the right touch.  I've used the Fall Fest Stamp set along with the matching Fun Fall Framelits Dies, and the gorgeous Color Me Autumn Designer Washi Tape.

My next card share today is a little off the stamping path for me!  But I couldn't resist - I just love those shoes!  I've used the Tee Hee Hee stamp set and the Motley Monsters DSP.  I hope you like my cards.

And now for the Blog Candy.......please leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my cards today.  I'll choose a random recipient to win some Early Espresso Embossing Powder and a package of Essentials Wooden Elements (32 pieces). I will announce the winner on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014.

(Please note, anyone is welcome to leave me a comment but I am only able to ship the blog candy items to addresses within the United States.  Thanks for your understanding.)

You Mean the World to Me!

I made this card for my son's birthday.  Hard to believe he turned 47!!! last month.  Yikes, these kids grow up so fast....lol.  The photo above also shows the inside panel before I adhered and wrote all the mushy stuff.  I saw this card on Pinterest and thought it would make a great card for him.  The sentiment on the front of the card is from a retired SU set called Word Play.  The globe is from the fabulous Traveler set!  Love that set.  And the inside sentiment is from On Your Birthday (ret).  He doesn't live close to me so this card had to go in the mail.  No extra postage required.

Thanks for visiting today.  Happy Stamping!

By the Tide

This is another card we made at our weekly stamping day.  Mr. Lobster was heat embossed with Calypso Coral embossing powder.  The sea grass was stamped three times with Coastal Cabana, stamping off after each impression.  Mr. Lobster was stamped over the center sea grass image.  Linen thread and a button I colored with my new Blendability marker finished off the card. I added two tiny pearls to the center of the button.

Supplies:

Stamps:  By the Tide
CS:  Whisper White
Ink:  Coastal Cabana, Versa Mark
Other:  Linen thread, Designer Very Vintage Button colored with Coastal Cabana Blendie, Calypso Coral embossing powder, Basic Pearls

Thanks for visiting today.  Have a great weekend.

A Wetlands Work of Art!

I saw this card on Pinterest for inspiration.  This is my take on it.  The Work of Art and the Wetlands stamp sets are two of my favorite Stampin Up stamp sets.  The possibilities are endless!  This is the card we made last week.  My friends Nancy from Nanny's Pansy Patch and Martha who visits her family here in PA every summer come over here once a week during the summer months for some stamping fun.  If you notice there is a little "Gorgeous Grunge" on this card too.  Can't tell you how much I love that set!  Martha plans to make multiples of this card to earn money for charity. She suggested using a sea shell in place of the button.  Great idea!  And now thanks to Martha, Nancy and I have some sea shells to use in the future.  This card is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.

Supplies:

Stamps:  Wetlands, Work of Art, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink:  Marina Mist, Baked Brown Sugar, Early Espresso
CS:  Wh. White, Marina Mist, Baked Brown Sugar
Other:  Linen Thread, Neutrals Collection Button

Have a great day and Happy Stamping!

Traveler Meets the World

I knew the minute I saw the Traveler stamp set I had to have it!  The images have a vintage feel and would make great retirement cards or "Bon Voyage" cards as I've done here.  I also plan to use the Traveler set to scrapbook some of my own vacation trips!   This card is pretty straight forward.  It's 5 1/4" sq.  The main technique is masking.  I'm really happy with the way it turned out.  I hope you like it too.

Supplies:

Stamps:  Traveler, World Map, Life's Adventure (SU Hostess set 2014/15)
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon, Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Lost Lagoon
Other:  Circle Framelits (for the mask), Candy Dots, Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits,
Ribbon: Natural Chevron Ribbon, Lost Lagoon Stiched Satin Ribbon

Happy Stampers New Catalog Blog Hop and Blog Candy Too!

Welcome to the Happy Stampers new Stampin Up 2014-2015 Annual Catalog blog hop.  A first for me so here goes....

I chose to use the Swallowtail stamp set two different ways.  The card below has been masked off with just the square in the middle to be stamped and colored.  I've cased this card from the Stampin Schach.  I've changed it up a bit with different colors and a different sentiment.  My coloring was done with a blender pen and ink pads - the pads were squished in the middle to leave ink on the inside of the lid and picked up with a blender pen.  The sentiment is from the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set.

The next card also uses the Swallowtail.  I was inspired by this card on Pinterest.  The Swallowtail was embossed with VersaMark and black embossing powder.  This time I colored it with our new Blendabilities,  Can you tell that the colors are more vibrant in this version?  I then fussy cut him out and placed him on my whisper white card using dimensionals.  I've wrapped him around to the back side of the card as well.  A little bit of his wing was trimmed off to fit on the card where I wanted him.  The sentiment is from one of my favorite new stamp sets in this catalog - Choose Happiness - I have the clear mount version and was able to curve it ever so slightly to follow the curve of the swallowtail's wing. Popping him up on dimensionals really makes him stand out.   I love how it turned out and hope you do too.

And now for the blog candy...please leave me a comment and tell me which card is your favorite.  I'll choose a random recipient to win a pack of Basic Rhinestone Jewels AND a pack of Stampin Dimensionals.  I'll announce the winner on Friday, July 25.  So be sure to check back.

Please note, anyone is welcome to leave me a comment but I am only able to ship the blog candy items to addresses within the United States.  Thanks for your understanding.

Independance Day Decorations

It was perfect timing for my Paper Pumpkin kit this month.  I made a table center piece for my kitchen table with this months kit.  I used some left over small canning jars filled with rice to hold the pin wheels.  The red, white and blue stars in front are from my stash of July 4th decorations.  There is something about red, white and blue that just makes me smile!

Thanks for stopping in today.

Simply Sketched Meets Paper Pumpkin

This month's Paper Pumpkin included this pretty white frame.  When I saw it I knew it would be perfect for a Mother's Day gift for my Mom.  The inside piece is 4 x 4.  The inspiration for the floral scene came from this card at Handcrafting with Heather.  I wanted to do bold colors since Mom's vision is not the best.  She loves "red" so I know she'll like this.  The butterfly and the blossom at the bottom are popped up.  I removed the glass for the photo.

Supplies: Simply Sketched stamp set, Circle framelits, candy dots, butterfly from Clearly for you stamp set (ret), Whisper White, Basic Gray, and Daffodil Delight (butterfly) cardstock.

I really like how it turned out.  Thanks for visiting today.

Easter Egg Card

Stampin Up Framelits are wonderful.  I used them to create the card base and the lattice embossed layer.  The extra large oval punch created the eggs. The Starburst framelits made the sun, and the Bitty Banners did the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes .  The bunny from Baby We've Grown was printed from MDS and cut out.  I love the way he peeks out from behind those eggs!  The little bunny in the grass is from Eggstra Spectacular.  Tiny flowers were punched with the flower in the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. I added pearls and rhinestones and one little candy dot on the banner.  Hope you like my card today.  Thanks for visiting.

Vintage Spiral Flower

This is my first Spiral Flower - that I actually liked!  Don't ask how many trial flowers hit the dust bin!  This one is done in Primrose Petals Coordinations cardstock with a Gumball Green leaf also Coordinations cardstock.  I sanded the edges and scrunched them up a bit before rolling.  I used two pieces of cs rolled at the same time.  There is a Large Pearl Basic Jewel in the center.  There are many videos out there in blog land.  Patty Bennett from Patty Stamps and Kay Kaltoff from Stamping to Share were a big help with their videos.

It does take a bit of practice.....at least for me.  My older hands and fingers aren't what they used to be!  But it's well worth it to have a bit of patience and if I can do it....I know you can.

Supplies:  Stampin Up Spiral Flower Originals Die, Sanding Block, Primrose Petals and Gumball Green Coordinations cs, Large Pearls Basic Jewels and the leaf die from the Secret Garden Die set.

Thank for stopping by.

Spring Card in a Box

This card in a box was soooo much fun to make!  I wasn't sure I wanted to make one but I'm glad I did.  And I really like how this one turned out considering it's my first one.  Me and little tiny things do not see eye to eye if you know what I mean!  Thank goodness for punches and dies.  I haven't put a sentiment (other than Happy Spring) on it yet.  I'll wait until I know how I'm going to use it.  Below is a close up photo.

Supplies:

DSP:  Gingham Garden
CS: Strawberry Slush, Pear Pizzazz, Rose Red, Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Island Indigo
Other:  Bitty Banner die, The hot air balloon was cut with my Silhouette Cameo.
The trees were a punch I've had in my stash for years.  The bunnies, fence, tulips and flowers on the trees were non-SU dies.  The grass was a Martha Stewart punch.  Happy Spring was computer generated onto the Bitty Banner flag.

I hope you like it.  I think I'll make more of these!  Thanks for visiting today.

Birthday Card For Mom

The hydrangea stamp above was one of the first stamps I purchased prior to Stampin Up.  I've only used it a few times in the years I've owned it.  After I saw Debbie Olson's card here I thought it would make a nice card for my Mom's birthday next week.  I stamped the hydrangea on vellum with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I colored it using the emboss resist technique and Stampin Up markers.  The butterfly was punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch.  I added some jewels for his body.  I will add a birthday sentiment to the inside.  I hope Mom likes it.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Stippled Blossoms Just Because

Stippled Blossoms is one of my favorite Stampin Up sets.  I used it to make my own background layer - stamping randomly with the blossoms and leaves.  I was inspired by this beautiful card at LW Designs.  Stamped extra blossoms and leaves, cut them out and placed them with dimensionals.  The sentiment Just Because is from another of my favorite sets called A Dozen Thoughts.  It was stamped on Whisper White in Pool Party ink, cut out and layered onto Pool Party CS.  The ends were flagged with my paper ships.

Supplies:
Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, A Dozen Thoughts
CS: Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Wild Wasabi, Gumball Greeen, Pool Party
Other: Pearl Basic Jewels, Bitty Butterfly Punch, dimensionals

Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Valentine Sweetheart Treat Bags Kit

These Stampin Up Sweetheart Valentine Treat bags are perfect for little Valentine candies.   I made all twelve that come in the kit.  I decided to use the pool party twine and tags that came in the kit on another project.   The ribbon was from from my stash from who knows how long ago.  But I think it came from Michaels.  The heart tag was from the Hostess Set Perfectly You (retired from the Holiday mini).  The red glimmer paper hearts were punched from the (also retired) punch with three hearts - sorry I don't remember what it's called.  These were fast and easy to make and hold a good amount of candy.

Thanks for visiting today!
