Sketched Birthday Meets Yippee-Skippee!

This was a fun card to make!  Inspiration came from two talented stampers Stamping Together at Monika's Place and Inking Idaho! It will be going out the door today to wish someone a happy day later this week.
Here's the inside of the card:
Supplies:

Stamps: Yippee-Skippee! (Sentiment), Sketched Birthday (Cake)
CS: Sahara Sand, Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White, Basic Black
DSP: Sweet Sorbet (SAB)
Accessories: Tag Topper Punch, In-Color Boutique Details Button, Pool Party Ribbon
Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Banners Framelits, Bitty Banners, Ovals Framelits,
Finishing Touches Edgelits, Decorative Label Punch, Candy Dots (1)

The balloon from Sketched Birthday was stamped twice, once on the Pool Party cs, once on Whisper White and colored yellow, cut out and paper pieced over the inside stamped balloon.  Coloring was done with Copic markers.

Thanks for stopping in today.  Stay warm and dry if you're buried in snow like we are!

Birthday Card For Mom

The hydrangea stamp above was one of the first stamps I purchased prior to Stampin Up.  I've only used it a few times in the years I've owned it.  After I saw Debbie Olson's card here I thought it would make a nice card for my Mom's birthday next week.  I stamped the hydrangea on vellum with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I colored it using the emboss resist technique and Stampin Up markers.  The butterfly was punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch.  I added some jewels for his body.  I will add a birthday sentiment to the inside.  I hope Mom likes it.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Stippled Blossoms Just Because

Stippled Blossoms is one of my favorite Stampin Up sets.  I used it to make my own background layer - stamping randomly with the blossoms and leaves.  I was inspired by this beautiful card at LW Designs.  Stamped extra blossoms and leaves, cut them out and placed them with dimensionals.  The sentiment Just Because is from another of my favorite sets called A Dozen Thoughts.  It was stamped on Whisper White in Pool Party ink, cut out and layered onto Pool Party CS.  The ends were flagged with my paper ships.

Supplies:
Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, A Dozen Thoughts
CS: Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Wild Wasabi, Gumball Greeen, Pool Party
Other: Pearl Basic Jewels, Bitty Butterfly Punch, dimensionals

Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Valentine Sweetheart Treat Bags Kit

These Stampin Up Sweetheart Valentine Treat bags are perfect for little Valentine candies.   I made all twelve that come in the kit.  I decided to use the pool party twine and tags that came in the kit on another project.   The ribbon was from from my stash from who knows how long ago.  But I think it came from Michaels.  The heart tag was from the Hostess Set Perfectly You (retired from the Holiday mini).  The red glimmer paper hearts were punched from the (also retired) punch with three hearts - sorry I don't remember what it's called.  These were fast and easy to make and hold a good amount of candy.

Snow Flakes for Mom

I made 30 snowflakes for Mom to give to her friends and caregivers at her Assisted Living facility.  They are a Stampin Up kit.  It took 3 kits of 10 to make them.  They do take some time to make but are so worth it.  I wrapped them in a cello bag with a piece of pool party cardstock so they would be easier for Mom to handle.  The tag was stamped with the sentiment from the Warmth and Wonder Hostess Stamp set.  I added a rhinestone to the tag and tied it to the bag with some ribbon.  Hope she likes them.

Five days before the big day!  Thanks for stopping in today.  Hope your holidays are merry!

Elf Legs!

Yikes!  There's an elf in the candy basket!  These are so fun to make.  You make them with the Top Note Die, DSP, and popsicle sticks.  My popsicle sticks are more the size of tongue depressors than an actual popsicle!  I've added bells to the toes and ribbons.

Thanks for visiting today.

Angel Ornaments

These adorable angels are made with the Stampin Up Bow Die.  There are many versions out there in blog land with instructions and video's on You Tube.  I've made one for my Hair Dresser, my Pet Sitter who is a recent cancer survivor and my Pet Groomer.  The blow drier, pink cancer ribbon and the dog and cat were all cut with my Silhouette Cameo - love that thing.

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday preparations.  Thanks for stopping in today.
